EMMA PINTER IS SEEKING REELECTION AS A COUNCILOR

Redacción/El Comercio de Colorado

Emma Pinter has a serious commitment with public service. From a young age, she learned the importance of community in the life of people. She lost her mother when she was beginning her college and thanks to the support of people and institutions around her she was able to get ahead with her younger sister. Pinter obtained her law degree and she is also works as a community liaison for a financial services company. She feels the need “to get back the support that I received and help build this community,” she said.

With that in mind, Pinter has been working as a council for the City of Westminster. Since 2013, she has been championing the need to provide access to housing for all residents in the community. She explains that in light of the sharp increase in rents and the cost of homes, an action must be taken. “At the moment, 28 percent of the homes included in the downtown project of the city should be affordable. It is a matter of justice”, said. Pinter also supports the idea of an expansion of public transportation. “We need two more RTD train stations”, she concluded.
