En nuestro Estado, que de por sí se ha caracterizado por tener políticos conservadores y que en su momento han logrado crear la preocupación de sus habitantes, sobre todo de la comunidad inmigrante con pronunciamientos de crear, lanzar o imponer leyes antiinmigrantes, ese parece un cuento de nunca acabar.
Recientemente se ha manejado mucho sobre que un grupo de legisladores republicanos de Colorado que tuvieron que ir a Arizona para indagar, “estudiar” y conocer más sobre el concepto de la ley SB 1070, pues no es más que sembrar el pánico, crear cierta inquietud para aquella comunidad que....

Durante este cierre de edición, un día ocupado, como suele ser cada vez que estamos por mandar a la imprenta a El Comercio de Colorado, leía con mucha atención la lucha que el presidente Felipe Calderón mantiene contra la violencia que se vive en este país. Y cada vez, hasta por más pequeña que sea la historia, quiero enterarme de lo que pasa, porque quizás mi próximo viaje a México que voy a realizar vía terrestre me inquieta por enfrentarme un camino que no conozco y que, debo confesarlo, me preocupa también por dicha situación, aunque muchos de mis amigos tratan de “consolarme” porque ‘no....

Roots define almost everyone in our society today. It reflects where we come from and what ethnic group we belong to. In addition to many other factors, our roots reflect our religion, culture, believes and most important, they define who we are.
We take the little things for granted like our “roots and traditions” which are often forgotten by many of us. We are too busy living in a fast paced world, with a society that is rapidly changing and evolving due to technology. Everything that surrounds us has something to do with a hi-tech product that is part of our everyday life.

Aunque sin duda alguna el tema de la SB1070 es donde la comunidad en este momento se encuentra más atenta a los hechos que pudieran ocurrir, si finalmente ahora que se aproxima la fecha del 29 de julio pueda entrar en vigor, a menos que lo pueda impedir un tribunal federal en Phoenix. Como ya es prácticamente del conocimiento de casi todos, que lo que esta ley permitiría a la policía de Arizona, en ciertas circunstancias, es que pueda detener a quienes bajo sospecha consideren que son inmigrantes indocumentados.
Esta ley realmente ha sido rechazada a nivel naci....
