The Colorado Attorney General’s office is inviting those residing in Colorado to denounce if they have been victims of fraud. Alissa Gardnswartz, Deputy Attorney General for Consumer Protection, announced that her office is working in coordination with other organizations to help residents of Colorado identify, prevent and report any fraudulent activities. Gardenswartz participated at the event “Spotting and Avoiding Scams in our Communities,” that took place at the Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales Branch Library.

The official explained that they will continue their activities to be in touch with the community. Gardenswartz also informed that the AG Office has launched the website “No Mas Fraude Colorado” in Spanish. According to Gardenswartz, this page was designed to protect the community from ill-intentioned individuals, and to inform where and how to report any possible fraud they might find.

Invitation to denounce

The page “No Mas Fraude Colorado” seeks to protect consumers and small businesses against fraud, through information and education. At the same time, the page is a platform to receive denounces. Gardenswartz indicated that her office has a special interest in the Hispanic community using this page with confidence. The collaboration of the Hispanic community is a matter of public interest with the intention of identifying and processing any fraudulent behavior that could be harming Colorado residents.
